About Yourself:
I inherited the tank, filter, and heating element from my sister when she moved to California to become a marine biologist; apparently something about Kansas wasn't fitting with her educational field. ;)
Fish Kept:
Green Coral Dwarf Gouramis - 1.
Opaline Gouramis - 2.
Angelfish - 1.
Red Velvet Swordtails - Male & Female.
Bristlenose Pleco - 1.
Corals/Plants:
Live Plants:
Java Fern.
Water Lilly Bulb.
Mopani Driftwood - 2.
Tank Size:

Advice:
1. Read at least a little about it before you buy anything past initial setup.
2. Let initial setup (tank, filter, heat, gravel, decoration, plants) sit for a week before you add any fish.
3. Add fish according to method recommended by local fish store (usually floating method).
4. Add fish/change anything slowly. Don't over feed.

About Yourself:
Something about me... well, I'm a chemistry student and I live in the Netherlands, and my hobby is, obviously, keeping goldfish :)
Fish Kept:
2 goldfish, orange veiltails
Corals/Plants:
Anibias nana, Valisnera americana, Egeria densa, Hygrophila difformis and Hygrophila polysperma and some traces of Vesicularia dubyana.
Tank Size:
29 gallons
Advice:
Trying to keep goldfish in a planted tank can, and will, be very, very frustrating. It takes a lot of time, and patience to make anything green grow in a goldfish tank. But, it's worth it :)
Description:
My orange veiltail goldfish, Hugo, he's pretty, isn't he :)
Note that the plants are not jet eaten in this picture, though it was taken only a few days before the full tank shot was taken.

Advice:
Been keeping fish for about 2 years. Make sure you do weekly water changes and check for water parameters are in safe levels. Buy a tank big enough for the fish as they grow. Also research fish so you don't get major aggression issues. I have 3 snoody mid-sized cichlids. They all get along alright, except the Green Texas Cichlid gets chased around a lot.
