Photo Caption: This is, for the most part, my final product. I will probably end up putting in a few more hiding spots and install the new LED bubble wand but other than that, I think she looks good.
fish tank picture - This is, for the most part, my final product. I will probably end up putting in a few more hiding spots and install the new LED bubble wand but other than that, I think she looks good.
fish tank picture - This the first layout I tried out, I did not like the blue stone, changed it out for a white substrate. Also made better use of the red slate and added a backdrop in the final layout.

Fish Kept: New tank, waiting to cycle before adding fish.
Corals/Plants: Red slate, Medium sized lava rocks, beach pebbles scattered throughout. All fake plants and weighted drift wood.
Tank Size: 55 gallons

About Yourself: Always had fish growing up. Recently came into owner ship of a 55 gal. Looking forward to getting back into the fish keeping game :)

The white stone looks great. That is what I use as it helps to bring out all the other colors in the tank. I found this stuff called Sea View. It is an application you put on your background and it makes the background look 3D. It is AMAZING and only costs about $5. seaviewinfo . com fish avatar BoysX3
I've never had a tank with a sand bottom, I do like how they look though. The only thing that stops me from using sand is not knowing how to keep it clean. Is it just like any other substrate, that you have vacuum? Or do you have to change it out completely after so long? Thanks for that advice!!!! fish avatar Paul
have u ever thought bout goin for sand at the bottom of the tank, my fish love playing with it like diving in to it and making we cabes for them selfs with it, nice tank tho fish avatar tyke
