Advice:
Always select your tank after selecting your fish to avoid any size issues. Also, check compatability before buying, sometimes vendors do cheat to make more sales and your fishes end up nipping and chasing each other.

I started a tank about 2007 but it was a fail, since then i think it has been seeing other peoples tanks that has gotten me back into it!!

plan out your tank a lot before hand, many people just buy random fish, i and many others find to be a better experience if you do 1 or 2 species in a tank.

Careful if buying fish from Wal-Mart as they are usually sick or get sick later on due to their poor care at the store. And I see this alot with new hobbists - NEVER put goldfish in with Tropical fish as they spread sickness and require different water conditions.
