im a 33 yr old glad to say aquarist. i've always had a love of fish since a young boy my father introduced me to the hobby, im just carring it on me and my duaghter clean and fill the tank together she loves them.

i have quite the mix and so far they seem to co-habitate fine(lets hope it stays like that)1 blue psuedotropheus(malawi blue): 1 red pseudo zebra:1auratus(new to the family, female) and are you ready! 1adult male convict (zeus) almost 2 yrs old and 4 of his kids one of em albino i gifted the rest the mother did not make it.

as said before local lake rock and artificial hairgrass.
Tank Size:
55 gallons
Advice:
learn it,love it,live it start out with books and start small i started with a 30g and took a year and a half to feel comfortable to move up, it's no fun buying up the lfs and having nothing but tragedy. Aso have fun.

Our first 46 Gallon Bow Front is home to our Baby Oscar "Oggy" for now (Don't worry he will be upgraded to a bigger tank.) Our second 46 Gallon Bow Front is home to 1 Red Tail Shark(Scooby who owns the tank), 2 Glo-Light Tetras, 1 Cloud Minow, wayyyyyy to many guppies to count, 2 Mystery Snails, and various other snails which I have no clue how they got in there. The 10 Gallon is our Snail tank, which we use to breed snails for our puffers. And our 75 Gallon Planted tank is home to 2 Figure Eight Puffers, 7 Dwarf Puffers, 4 Bumblebee Gobys, 2 Flying Foxes, 1 Large Red Tailed Shark "Jaws", 4 Hill Stream Loachs, and many a ghost shrimp.

Our 75 Gallon has many varies plants. Our 10 Gallon also has a few plants and Moss for the snails.

Go slow, take your time and make sure everything is just right. Don't add fish until you are sure everything is Perfect

Got into the hobby 10 years ago. Managed a local pet store in richmond va named fin and feather. I have kept all types of fresh and brackish water fish. Just started my first saltwatermini reef tank. Ive had fully planted tetra tanks sa and african cichlid tanks, also have kept mudskipper,archerfish and pufferfish tanks
Fish Kept:
Frontosa Cichlid, Calvus Cichlid, Brichardi, Orange Leleupi Cichlid, julidochromis marlieri, tropheus bemba, albino long fin bushynose pleco and chocolate long fin bushynose pleco.
Corals/Plants:
Java fern, jungle val, compacta sword, assorted crypts, moss balls.
Cichlid sand mixed with crushed coral substrate. Lace rock , local river rock and driftwood for decor.
Tank Size:
80 gallons
Advice:
If you do it the right way this can be a very addictive and fun hobby. Be patient when setting up a tank always make sure to take time and cycle your tank properly before introducing fish to your tank. Other than that enjoy your new addiction!
