Rated #182: Freshwater Fish - Carassius Auratus - Goldfish Stocking In 10 Gallons Tank

Rated #182: Freshwater Fish - Carassius Auratus - Goldfish Stocking In 10 Gallons Tank - My wonderful common goldfish. I have them in a 75 Gallon with four dojo loaches. To regular dojos and 2 gold. The goldfish are about 3 years old. Once on the fourth of July the power went out here and it was over 100 dg according to the thermometer on the goldfish tank because the air conditioner was not working. So I got a straw and blew bubbles till I passed out in my room from 12-3 am and constantly got big bags of what ice was left over in the freezer and put them in the tank to do my best to save the goldfish. After the first day and night I went to buy a battery operated air pump and the rest survived. I lost 7 fish to that black out and 2 goldfish. These are the remaining two. And now they are nice happy and big! thanks

Quote: The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: Decide what you want.
Fish Kept: I'm barely starting out so as of now, I have 4 fish only. I plan on getting a few more malawi cichlids, and 2x gold nugget plecos. I just want to keep this tank simple. As much as I would like to overcrowd to reduce aggression, I'm afraid this plan will have to wait. First it's a fairly small tank, secondly I'm not very confident with the filtration just yet. I plan on upgrading to a Rena XP2, but I'm afraid that I might have too much water flow if I do upgrade. Just have to do a bit more research on that.
Corals/Plants: None except for 1 plastic plant right in the middle.
Tank Size: 30 gallons
Advice: The only advice I can really offer is to be patient. A rushed tank will lead to frustrations. I found this out the hard way.
