Description: My freshwater 150 gallon tank consist of 2 Oscars. One is an Albino and the other a Tiger. The Tiger is about a year older than the Albino. I am currently using a Marineland canister filteration system. My tank is pretty basic. Doesn't consist of much. It has a few artificial plants along with all white gravel, with a few larger stones I got from a nearby river.
Advice: Don't forget to do frequent water changes also before adding fish to a new tank make sure you allow your tank to cycle before adding any fish. I'm a new hobbyist myself.
Fish Kept: 1 Albino Oscar approx. 9 months old & 1 Tiger Oscar approx. 2 years old.
Corals/Plants: Tried having them but my Oscar's always manage to destroy them.
Tank Size: 150 gallons
Quote: DOnt have 1 specific favorite I can think of right now but there are many which inspire me.
About Yourself: I am in the processes of learning a little bit about freshwater fish and how to maintain an aquarium. I am learning through my boyfriend who enjoys the hobby very much. I managed to save the life of our Tiger Oscar who we almost lost due to FTS ( Fresh Water Tank Syndrome) I experienced having to rapidly change half of the water in a 150 gallon tank. Our Oscar's life depended on me acting as quiclkly as possible. I hope to learn more about freshwater fish because I really enjoy their company. I can't believe how attached I've become to the one's we already have and miss the one's we have lost.
