Description: I just setup a 45 gallon tall, Fluval 305, standard small gravel, large rocks sourced from garden center and from the waterside near the whitestone bridge. Just got some slate from home depot pretty cheap. I am by far a novice since my last tank was 10 gallons over 15 years ago. My good friend Kevin over at Kissena Aquarium has been helping me get setup and advise I start out with cichlids which I am enjoying thus far.
Advice: Landscaping your aquarium should be well planned out. There are tons of great examples in this website. It's almost as, if not equally important, to selecting the right mix of fish. I am slowly but surely going to get my habitat rocked and caved out right eventually. It seems like it will always be a work in progress.....
