Country: United Kingdom
Description: My tank is a jewel 180 which is 180litres or roughly 40 gallons. Filters in the tank at present are standard filters plus nitrate removal filter and a carbon filter. I have two lights one 30w fresh water lamp (good for the plants and enhances fish colour) I also have another dimmer light. I also have an air pump with blue LED light.
Advice: Just keep trying. And remember water changes are the most important part of a healthy tank do them regular!
Fish Kept: I have 3 silver dollars 1 marble angel fish 2 kissing gourami 1 dwarf gourami (cherry) 2 three spot gourami 9 glow light tetra 3 cat fish 1 common pleco (small at the minute) and 2 sucking loach.
Corals/Plants: I have lots of java fern the only thing that my silver dollars dont try to eat. I also have Anubias & water primrose both of which my dollars love to eat. The rest of my tank is planted with some plastic plants which do the job. I have just got myself some moss balls for the tank which are ment to help reduce alge growth and they look unusual too.
Tank Size: 40 gallons
Quote: Rome was not built in a day
About Yourself: My parents always kept tropical fish when i was little so i got my own tank when i moved out. I started off with a very small tank and worked my way up. I really enjoy keeping my tank and fish healthy.
