Description: i have a 29 gallon aquarium with a aqueon 30 plus filter. I plan to get a 55 Gal.
Advice: Stat off slow don't jump into to it you could really mess things up and loose some money.i would suggest rockwork first then fill the tank and add plants. You could get fish before plants but its esier.
Fish Kept: Right now? Well i have 1 angel fish, 3 tigerbarbs, 2 minor tetra and a pelco. I plan to get more fish such as 3 kuhli loaches 2 ram cichlids and 5 hatchet fish.
Corals/Plants: 3 melon swords, 2 radican swords, 3 jave ferns, and 2 corkscrew val. put tall plants along the sides and back and use shorter plants as you get towards the front. Such as java ferns, baby tears and hairgrass. Iplan to get some baby tears for my tank.
Tank Size: 29 gallons
Quote: A good borito is worth two tacos.
About Yourself: Well long story short my friend got me into it. I started off not knowing any thing. I had my fish tank on my porch in the dead of winter and i was wondering why th fish were dying. Yeah i know. But i finall figured it out and brought it to my room. I still had tacky decor and i had a lot to learn. over the past year and a half i've laerned a lot from books and people. Being an aquarist is my favorite hobby (other than LAX). i have actuall gotten my dad into it too and we now have had a 300 gal saltwater tank, hamlinfamilycheck it out,. Best of both worlds. I strongly encourage new aquarists.
