Description: Wet / Dry set up (formerly a salt) with Bio-bale media, sub. heater in the sump at 78, 4 MDQX-SC Little Giant pump with ball joint to control flow, two large strip hood lights in front & one long hood light in back using " true-life" bulbs, media bags with carbon and sometimes phosguard (well water), kid lock on very door to stop "Helping mommy feed the fish"!!!
Advice: Purchase the largest tank you can afford that you are willing to do proper water changes on!!! Get your water changing system down to a science to make this chore less of a pain. A necessary evil!!!
Fish Kept: Central and South American Community. 1 - large common plecto (not seen in pic, nice hi-fin variety - cool fish) 1 - medium chocolate plecto (really dark brown, almost black, also camera shy), 3 - blood parrots (ruby, gold, and gold with black) 1 - rainbow cichlid, 1- bocarti cichlid, 1- black convict (rescued, poor fin condition), 2 - clown loaches, 1 - synadonis cat (hardly every seen!) 1 - blue acara, 1 - large red hook (not seen in picture, either) The Betas in the front belong to my boys and have now moved into a new Eclipse 3 with a divider! NEAT! Not as many water changes for them! YEA!
Corals/Plants: Plants are a nice snack for these guys, so plastics are used to give a lush appearance. Real plants are added as a treat for them!
Tank Size: 200 gallons
Quote: You have the right to your own oppinion. But just because you have an oppinion, that doesn't make you right.
