Photo Caption: My male Apistogramma Cacatuoides. I have to give him credit for coming to the front of the tank, trying to showoff, and stare down a 200 lb man, hehe. He's the little king of the tank.

Description: I first would like to thank the RMFT community for giving me ideas with starting this beautiful hobby. My tank decor was influenced by many of you here, so I always give credit where it's due. , My Tank:, 72 Gal Bowfront , Eheim 2217 Canister Filter , Two Rio Powerheads (Rio 600 & 400), 200w Heater , Air pump w/ 3 stones , Marina brand Background, , My water stays crystal clear and chemically balanced. My driftwood does lower the pH, so I have to pH Up on with water changes. I really don't like using chemicals more than I have to.
Advice: Research!!! My tank is relatively young, and I learned from my mistakes. Until my tank was properly cycled, I did unfortunately lose a couple platys and tetras. Now, I am correctly cycled, and everyone inside is happy.
Fish Kept: 3 Bolivian Rams, 3 Apistogramma Cacatuoides, 5 Asstd Platys, 5 Otocinclus, 4 Peppered Corys, 1 Cardinal Tetra, 2 Bamboo shrimp, 15 Ghost shrimp, , Believe it or not, everyone gets along 110%. I thought I would lose a few ghost shrimp, but they have not been touched., , I'm at maximum capacity, so I do 25% water changes/vacuuming every 1.5 weeks., , Feed: Flake and NLS Cichlid Formula, and freeze-dried brine shrimp every few days.
Corals/Plants: All plastic and silk. A combination of Sea Garden, Tetra Water Wonders, and Penn Plax plants.

I use Malaysian driftwood, which really accentuates the tank.
Tank Size: 72 gallons

About Yourself: Brand new in the hobby, but have several friends who know the hobby, and have helped me out. Thanks for looking!
