Description:
125 gallon Tanganyikan community tank with Neolamprologus similis, Chalinochromis sp. "Ndobhoi," and Cyprichromis leptosoma "Utinta." The numerous shells littering the bottom are for the similis and are a necessary part of keeping these fish.

My first fish tank. Set up started 6 months ago. Nothing special, just life plants and 10 tetra red eye fish inside...They look healthy and hungry...oh, and also one bushy nose and no shrimps because I don't have algae at all...That's pretty much everything about this image. Advice:
Research before buying any species of fish.
Set up the tank 1st then add fish after cycling.
Quarantining fish and plants for 3 wks to a month is something I reccomend

This is my only hobbie i have always been obsessed with the water and its creatures.i would live to be a marine biologist.after work i spend most of my time keeping up my tank and reading books on fish and marine life.

8" dinosaur bichir, 2 blue ram cichlids, 2 roseline sharks, 10 neon tetras, 6 guppies, bumble bee catfish, rainbow shark,algea eater,10 nerite snails

Hornwort, Amazon swords, crypt, java fern, red ludwigia, cardinal telenthra (not having good luck with this one), aponogeton, onion, bamboo, dwarf hairgrass (also having a hard time with this one),bacopa.

Advice:
Start with a good substrate, good lighting and a timer.let your tank cycle before you start adding fish.research everything before you buy it...STAY AWAY FROM JAVA MOSS. Very messy and ugly. or it was in my tank

Am a bank employee, though dont have luxury of time for the hobby but I am really a nature lover, hence, capsulized nature I love and dream is what I love to do, to have and to keep.

1 fighting fish, 2 small catfish, 5 pink tetras, 2 albino sharks and 2 rainbow sharks
Corals/Plants:
sprites, java moss, cabomba, java ferns, local anubias (emrgent type), emergent grass, riccia and many others, dont remember the names.
Tank Size:
150 gallons
Advice:
Started w/ Dry Method experimenting w/ local emergent plants, once established (after 2.5 weeks) started adding true aquatic plants and water. Kept the lights on 12 to 14 hours a day. After a week added 1 fighting fish, week after another 9 fishes.
