Try new things. Experience the hobby. Work with new decor, substrate, plants, fish. Don't be constrained to just what's in your local fish store.

This is my 30-odd gallon native tank. With the exception of the hygrophila difformis everything in the tank is native to Ontario's waterways.

Just as most I inherited my first tank and quickly got addicted, now got 6 tanks and no time or money but love it!

Paradise fish, african dwarf frogs, common plec, clown loach, rosy barbs and bristlenose plec.
Advice:
If you don't do your research you will lose fish and money!
