About Yourself:
I've got my first 10 gallon fish tank when I was in 5th grade. And, i've been hooked ever since. I gave away my fish tanks but alway have gotten another one. My living space doesn't feel complete without one.
Fish Kept:
Two Pearl Gourami,Two Marbled Hatchet ,Four Black Tetra
Corals/Plants:
I have plastic plants and one amazon sword which looks very realistic. Also, I have one plastic root.
Tank Size:
29 gallons
Advice:
When starting a new aquarium, remember to do 50 percent water changes every week for the first 4-8 weeks (depending on tank size). This will get you safely through the nitrogen cycle without killing your fish. Only add a few hardy fish for the first 4-8 weeks then get your water tested then you can add your fish slowly. The key to a healthy fish tank is weekly water changes of 30 percent and monthly gravel cleaning with sifone and not overcrowding your tank. I have found that when keeping tropical fish it is best to keep the temperature at 82 degrees. This helps prevent the fish from getting ick. Also, add freshwater aquarium salt and provide plenty of aeration. My marbel angle fish out grew my 29 G so they went back to the pet store where i got them. the guy said angels perfer about a 55G tank.So keep this in mind when buying an anglefish, they also become very aggresive when they git biger but after all they are Cichlids.

I'm just gonna get this one last $10 thing, honey, and then we're all set on fish stuff. ;-)
About Yourself:
A 5 gal hex tank sits directly in front of me (where a computer monitor would go) in my tall corner desk. Another 5 gal is up on the top shelf of my desk, and the 20 gal is directly to my right, so I'm virtually surrounded by fishies in my home office. The 55 gal serves as a room divider in my front room, so it's visible from both sides. I'm a full time student, an avid gardener (succulents, vegetables & herbs), and I paint murals with my darling husband, who is a professional artist. We also have a terrarium with a Tree Frog named Smeagol, and 3 very spoiled Kitties.
Fish Kept:
I have kept goldfish, plecos, otos, fancy guppies (bred these for a while), platys, black skirt tetras, long fin zebra danios, bettas, African dwarf frogs, apple snails
Corals/Plants:
several varieties of freshwater plants.
Tank Size:
55 gallons
Advice:
Research BEFORE buying anything! NO impulse buys!
* Especially for size needs and fish compatibility
Don't be afraid to return your fishies back to the store if your setup isn't right for them yet. They are living creatures who deserve to be comfortable!
Description:
My small Betta tank: 5.5 gal with 3 live plants, milky quartz. 1 male crown tail (Piet, at the top) and 1 female African dwarf frog (Dorothea). Small tanks can be pretty too! (Though these guys both think it's huge!)

Fish Kept:
So far 3xMolly's 2x Platys 4x Cardinal Tetras and 1 Red Tailed Shark 1x clown loach 2 rams
Corals/Plants:
Not sure on the names
Tank Size:
14 gallons
Advice:
Take your time. I only introduced fish into the tank after having the tank up and running for a month, even then I only put in 2 mollys and 2 platys. I also used half a tank of water from a friends tank, this can speed up the cycling process because of the bacteria already in the water.
Description:
About 8 months in now. Finally found a nice piece of drift wood.

Fish Kept:
Neon Tetra Jumbo
Corals/Plants:
Amazon sword, 2x banana plants floating, fern. 3 pieces of driftwood to divide the areas for the fish to reflect their natural habitat.
Tank Size:
20 gallons
Advice:
Use seachems Stability daily to start your cycle and add fish after a day or two when temp is right and water tests are looking good. Either test it yourself or take it to a local pet shop that tests for free. I have good results using seachems Matrix product too, I filled my overflow area around the filter cartridge in the front and back with them and it will filter ammonia and harbor good bacteria forever. The plants will help filter ammonia and nitrites while providing oxygen. Taller tanks have a hard time releasing the cO2 so a bubbler helps. Make sure you don't overcrowd and change the water about 15% every other day if your ammonia is high. It'll go up when you add fish and eventually level out after a month or two of being cycled. Only put compatible fish together and enjoy watching them!

Fish Kept:
german breed red peacock.
Corals/Plants:
I have a few asst. swords and a few crypts on the left of which, i'm not sure the type. but should grow thin and curly, plus long. will update soon with some speices names.
Tank Size:
75 gallons
Advice:
My advice is the same as most peoples, read everything you can find on the care of the speices of fish you like ,investigate future tanks mates just the same.
Buy the biggest tank you can afford.Because water perameters won't change so drastically in larger tanks.
Also and most important do not over stock your tank with fish, unless you have a large sump filtation system or an expensive canister filter. This i just my opinion but it will save you in the long run as far your pump's filter media cost's.. HOPE THIS HELPS..
Description:
My main tank too bad most of my fish are hiding.also i had to crop alot of this tank out to come in under 500kb.
