Advice:
16 gallons is perfect to start and enjoy. Easy to heat, easy to clean, and cheap to maintain. my tank allows small to medium fish, which keep costs low. Fake plants look good all the time and adds aesthetic to my bachelor pad.

Start off with a bigger tank if you can , I wish I had a 50 gallon instead. With a smaller tank like mine you need to do more water changes than a bigger tank.

This is my 20gall tank with 30 power filter, heater, and 15 flourecent light. It houses 3 albino cory (soon to be 3 more panda cories), 1 otto, 2 bolivian rams, and 6 neon tetra, semi planted, with pea gravel, red ludgwiga, mondo grass, java moss, and java fern.
