About Yourself:
I started when I was 12 after envying a tank at my library. I did the research and started with a ten gallon which ran successfully for a year until we moved. So far, it's been my healthiest tank, though I've gained so much more practical knowledge.
Fish Kept:
Over the years and in different tanks:
Tropical Freshwater: Platties, Swordtails, Neon Tetras, Corydoras, Clown Loach, Rosy Barbs, Chinese algea eater
Coldwater Freshwater: Goldfish (Commons, Orandas, Ryunkins, Lionheads, Comets, Fantails, Telescope Eyes, Pearlscales), Dojo loaches, Bristlenose pleco, White Cloud Mountain Minnows
Corals/Plants:
Java Ferns and Moss (easy!)
Amazon Sword
Ludwig
Wisteria
...and others I can't remember
Tank Size:
55 gallons
Advice:
RESEARCH! Make the Nitrogen Cycle an important part of this research, and don't skimp on the time it requires.
With goldfish, 10 gallons per fish is a good rule for those new to the hobby.

About Yourself:
My friends at work were talking about setting up an aquarium. It got me interested and I purchased a 10 gallon tank and started my own. It got me hooked. It relaxes my nerves and helps me go through the day.

Ludwigia
Anubias Nana
Amano (Christmas) moss

Don't go for the simplest setup just because its your first aquarium. Read on it and get all you need to make it look the best. Also get a tank that is the biggest that can fit in your room because you WILL want bigger.

I have been into fish and tanks since I first got a tank when I was 5 years old . I am now 38 y/o . The tank in the pic is my childrens first set up . I am currently working on a very speical set up for a 55 gallon . I am having custom made decorations and will be ordering fish to match the look of the tank . I will post pics when it is complete . I work from home and I am looking into opening a fish store in the near future . Everything I know about fish tanks I have learned from my uncle and from good old fashioned trial and error . I will admit I do not know everything, But I am also not a beginer either .
