Fish Kept: It's all african cichlids. I have 2 cynotilapia, 1 labidochromis, 3 maylandia estherae minos reef (2 female and 1 male) 1 jewel cichlid and 1 labeotropheus.
Corals/Plants: it's all lava rocks.
Tank Size: 45 gallons
Advice: African cichlids are tought fish and really easy for beginner, it's perfecct

About Yourself: Retired military, i always wanted a aquarium, but i was always moving, so now that i am retired, i decided to get into it,,and its addictive. Its so addicitive that i have a fish tank in the dining room (55 Gal Cichilids)
Fish Kept: 2 Pearl Gouramis, 2 Kissing Gouramis, 2 Silver dollar, 2 Red Tail sharks, 1 Catfish, 1 Africian brownknife, and 1 Africian soptted leaf and 2 Angels. I will post the pics of the fish real soon

Advice: Have fun with your hobby, dont take it too serious, they are just fish ( not children). In this hobby you are gonna win some and lose some ( sounds like "life" huh)..your 2 best friends will be "trial and error"

About Yourself: when i was young my uncle had many fish tanks he gave me one and I went down to the creek and caught some blue gill an crawdads and kept them , then as the years went bye i had a 55 gallon plxi glass then my first mature tank 135 gallon that my girl friend of 7 years gave me . so when we broke up i gave her and my tank up .then 2 years ago i started seeing my uncle and bam i was hooked again . now I can afford what i want tank and fish wise. now both my uncle & my daughter work for the best fish store in sacramento called exotic aquarium . i work and manage a food maxx store.

Advice: go with big tank 55gallon and up start with big fish easy to feed do not die as easy. after you get good with cleaning the tank and water changes and your big fish seasons the tank take your fish back if you like and start buying the fish you love.
